Halloween

I find myself being whisked away from work to the Spirit Halloween store on Washington Pike. With Halloween this weekend, everyone is out and about, hustling and bustling to get their costumes ready for the big weekend.

And then there’s me, with little to no interest.

I remember enjoying Halloween as a kid. Or, at least, I think I remember liking Halloween as a kid.

So what happened?

Since I’ve joined the adult side of Halloween, I have little interest to attend parties and even less interest to make an effort for it. I haven’t carved a Jack O’Lantern in the past few years. I haven’t even bothered to pick up candy for trick-or-treaters.

Have I become the Scrooge equivalent to Halloween?
